UPCOMING FEATURE FILM
JOHN THE REVELATOR
In 1945, John and Elias Schwarz were warded to the state and placed in a harsh home for boys, where they would experience the school of hard knocks.
Fourteen years later, John and Elias fought in the Vietnam War, forming a band of brothers for life. These war veterans returned to their homes in Australia, only to find themselves as outcasts in society.
Now living outside the law in far North Queensland, John and Elias formed a motorcycle club, ‘the Revelators’ enlisting his band of brothers.
A fierce rival motorcycle club, ‘the Mountain Brothers’ invaded the Revelator’s turf to expand their illicit drug trade. The Mountain Brothers set up the Revelators to take heat for local robberies they haven’t committed, which escalates into a gang war.
A shipment of drugs is dropped into the ocean and retrieved by the Revelators. They plan to transport the concealed cargo by rail to the rainforest town of Kuranda. The Revelators don’t know that the train they chose, ‘Rail Motor 1819’, is carrying the Railway Company’s payroll for its workers. The Rail Motor is held up before it reaches Kuranda, and the drugs aboard go missing along with the payroll…
The 1973 robbery of ‘Rail Motor 1819’ this feature film is inspired by, was never solved and remains a mystery to this very day.
This action/heist drama is set against a backdrop of the motorcycle gangs and drug wars of the 70s. It has worldwide appeal given today's audiences’ desire to see more stories depicting the dog-eat-dog biker world of that time.
